Mixed flowing gas testing requires an analyzer that is capable of accurately measuring  in the parts  per billion level.  The OSHA measurement requirement is only in the parts per million range. 

Two methods are commonly used to introduce the four gases; bottled gasor some sort of permeation device.  Each has advantages and disadvantages, though bottle gas is generally easier to work with.
